Alice Springs isn’t well known for its yoga culture, but there are certainly some great options in town if you want a yoga class in a genuine studio.
Let’s have a look at what’s offered in Australia’s most central town! All of these are open to tourists such as grey nomads and backpackers, but mostly do draw the local crowds.
Best Yoga Studios in Alice Springs
Did you know that there is a Yoga in Alice Springs Public Group? This is best way to find local yogi events, news, updates and more. From kirtan evenings to meditation and of course, plenty of inside and outside yoga!
In addition, here are the 4 main studios in town:
1. Yoga Way – Yoga & Meditation Studio Alice Springs
The premier yoga studio in Alice Springs is Yoga Way. This is our most recommend go-to place for regular yoga classes in town. You’ll find them at 20 Kidman Street and it’s been running for years.

Travelers are more than welcome here as are total beginners.
2. Mid Merry Yoga
Another fantastic yoga studio to get along to is Mid Merry Yoga. The owner there has a professional setting similar to what you’ll find up in Darwin.

Vinyasa, Yin and Meditation is offered as are yoga teacher training. Address is 8 Hele Crescent, Alice Springs NT and it’s wise to phone ahead or get in touch on Facebook for updates.
3. Shanti Pilates Yoga Alice Springs
Angie has a small home studio and also runs outdoor classes in town. It isn’t as popular as the other studios here as she’s still growing the business.

You’ll find the studio in town at 2 Crispe Street, Ciccone. Pilates and yoga are offered here quite often.
4. Bindu One Yoga
A new start-up yoga studio in Alice Springs is coming! You’ll find Bindu One Yoga at 61 Larapinta Dr and it only started in early 2020. There is more info coming soon so watch this space.
5. Centered in Choice
So a true disclaimer here, Centered in Choice is more-so a meditation centre but we do believe that yoga and meditation do go hand in hand. We’ve left them until last so you have another outlet to find a zen-like state in town.

If you’re looking for regular kirtan chanting, then this is exactly the place to do it. Who would’ve thought there would be a chanting meditation centre right here in Alice Springs? Incredible!
In summary
Going to yoga in Alice Springs isn’t too difficult. Most of these studios don’t have their websites updated so you’ll need to get in touch with them via Facebook. Remember to be 10 minutes early to your first yoga class and bring your own mat, towel and water bottle.
