The Four of Cups Reversed: What Does It Mean?

Sharing is caring!

The Four of Cups reversed means that we must be receptive to the help and assistance offered by others. Often we reject those who do see us in need, and it’s time to say yes.

This quest isn’t one that you have to do alone. There are many people out there with their arms wide open.

The Four of Cups Reversed

Life is a gift. What makes that gift even more special are those who you get to experience life with. Those that offer comfort and vitality in the deep dark lows that we experience.

The Four of Cups Reversed meaning

Perhaps you’ve had to be there for someone else oto. When things weren’t really going well for them, you held out your arms. Now it’s becoming your turn.

Love is a divine gift. It doesn’t cost anything. To give it feels just as good to receive it. It’s the miracle healing energy that’s ready to pull us from the desperation and into the light.

Worries and concerns seem to magically vanish as soon as love finds its way into the world. Those fears we held out to suddenly become mere objects of the mind. Indeed the same can be said when we’re suffering from hopelessness.

Card meaning

The Four of Cups reversed is a ‘No’ tarot card. We’ve used the Rider-Waite series for this depiction and you may use any deck that you desire.

Yocean Yogi Psychic reading of The Four of Cups Reversed

We see before us a man who isn’t happy at all. He’s under this tree with his gaze firmly on the 4 cups. 3 are on the earth while the other is floating.

His main focus is on the 3 cups. They represent the loss, frustration and embarassment that he’s currently subjected to. Things just haven’t gone to well in recent times.

He has been striving for a long time, but simply not hard enough. Compared to his peers, he is way behind. He hasn’t been able to enjoy the journey or the present moment.

That is…if he would just shift his focus slightly to the solo cup. The one being held by the cloud. Coming from the cloud is the hand of healing angels. Unfortunately, he just can’t bring himself to see what is truly being offered.

In such a posture he isn’t able to receive any healing energy. This totally closed off stance blocks the heart and indeed the rest of the chakras from the source of divine flow.

Stop holding on

Holding on to ourselves is only going to allow the deep, dark energy to continue circulating. It can only stay with us if we allow it to have its presence. Without us, it is nothing.

Essentially, we must let go. If you have ever attended a Yin Yoga class then you’ll know the concept of letting go very well. It’s our chance to stop the rigidity of both of body and mind.

By opening ourselves, we can start a healing process. The colors of the world, the singing of the birds and the smell of the roses can finally start ushering in again. This is exactly what we need right now in the lowest of lows.

Be free

Let’s snap out of this illusion. You believe you are alone in this suffering, but in reality, there are many people around you. They might be challenged too, but they can offer a hand to those in need.

Taking a solo route has us closed off. By opening ourselves to those closest to us, we can finally feel the connection and warmth that our soul truly desires. This vulnerability is strength as much as you can’t see it in this current state.

Incidently, society has this “everyone for himself” culture that we don’t subscribe to. We believe in unity and divine blessings. Individuals working together for peace and harmony raises the conciousness of the planet, otherwise Gaia herself moves towards imbalance.

Going forward

There is much awaiting you in life. While it may not seem like it in the current stage, we’re blessed to be living in the very best time in history.

Tarot card evaluation

Even if those who care about you are 10,000 miles away, a quick video call is all it takes. Yes! Genuine connections can still be found virtually.

Open your heart and allow others in. It’s OK to receive. You’ve already done a lot for the world already and this is your repayment.
