The Four of Wands upright tarot card represents a time to relax and resolve any conflicts that have come into your life. It’s time to move on and experience this joy!
If you have been holding off for far too long, then now’s the time to relax. You are here to enjoy the moment and relax. Everything else can come later.
The Four of Wands upright
In life we often don’t pause to celebrate the joy and harmony that we have consciously brought forward in the world. We are manifesting machines and need to find the time to heal and reflect to develop our positive light and life energy. In the Chinese medicine world, practitioners would call this Chi energy.

Our personal responsibilities often get in the way. We say “Oh I’ll do that later, I need to work now” when taking on big projects. New parents know the feeling the most when things are quite overwhelming. Everything just gets a bit too much.
The chance to stop and celebrate is essential to our personal growth. After all, it’s what we all strive for. This fun and magic experience radiates our soul and brings new light to an otherwise dark world. If you have been working hard recently then this is your time to be proud.
Card meaning
The Four of Wands Upright is a ‘Yes’ tarot card. We’ve used the Rider-Waite tarot decks for our meanings though you may use any that you desire as meanings are quite similar for general and love readings.

We see two characters in front of the castle. They are clearly welcoming home people. Those that have conquered great lands and have travelled far in life. The tinsel on the 4 wands represents the new growth of our personal lives.
We also see the castle is grey. This means there is a clean slate for which to paint a new canvas, but that can come later. For now – it’s time for sheer enjoyment. You’ve already achieved so much!
All that one needs to do is walk through. It’s designed to be a ceremony. A chance to find warmth and serenity away from the cold. To have experienced faraway lands and arrive home alive is to be commended.
For you on this journey and for anyone, this isn’t easy. We are constantly overworked and underpaid. No matter how little you’ve accomplished, it’s time to find joy in the moments of confusion. This brings us clarity which ultimately sees us through to the next challenge.
Your iniation
We want you to initiate joy. To beam with radiant positive light for others to experience! Yes! It doesn’t matter if you’re still finishing off or you’re already there, you need to be commended.
What you have been through isn’t easy. Many challenges have come your way. Others have tried to take you down or considered you less than adequate for the task at hand.
You’ve worked so hard for all these years. Perhaps you studied, had a job or ran a business. All 3 take their toil on the mind, body and spirit. To find harmony, we must relax and rejuvenate.
We want you to take this time to celebrate and to heal. We all need this from time to time. In fact, there are now thousands of yoga retreat centres around the world for this very reason! People have realized how important this really is to nourish ourselves.
If you can’t quite get away for a few days of relaxation, just start with a couple of hours. A hot bath and reading of your favourite book. Find some scented candles and melt away the troubles of the mind. After all, there is much work still to be done…but that can come later.
Your victory
We are all on a personal quest to reach new heights and to push ourselves further. Within that process, we must learn to breathe. To relax when others would otherwise keep going.

There is no need to ‘show off’ our hard work and intensive focus. Instead, take a break and bask in the celebration in life.
We only live once. Take this moment in for as long as you need.
