The Knight of Swords upright tarot card represents the need to be wildly ambitious and driven towards success if we are to accomplish what we set out for ourselves.
This journey ahead isn’t easy, but the fast-thinker who’s driven has already won long before the battle has even started.
The Knight of Swords Upright
You’ve probably heard before that you must strive forward at all costs if you want to be successful. You can’t merely hope, wish and pray for things to manifest….as much as The Secret might have told us all those years ago.

Indeed, conscious creation does depend on wishing for things through dreaming and manifesting, but that’s only one piece of the puzzle. You’ll need to be driven to success if you truly want to win.
Those who can make quick decisions while remaining steadfast are ultimately going to win this game. These ambitious folk including athletes, spiritual authors and entrepreneurs, truly play a long game and won’t quit until it’s done.
Card meaning
The Knight of Swords Upright is a ‘Yes’ Tarot card. We see him dressed so well in his armour while charging ahead with courages and infectious energy and determined spirit. Yeehaw!

He has chosen a white horse which represents purity and healing. On the polar opposite, the Knight holds us sword strong and high in his quest to complete the mission undetermined.
We also can see a storm occuring in the background. Many others would hide, scurry or merely given up. In his case, he’s excited and redirects his energy into the eye of the storm to finish what he started.
He has his faceshield open which means that he’s ready for anything that comes in his direction, while being able to see everything that stands before him, including the good and evil.
Lastly, he wears the color red. This is important showing valor, determination, authority, power and passion. Yet much more important than his clothing is his personal power developed in the mind to create an unstoppable force.
Enemies beware! The knight is truly on a mission to accomplishment.
Your personal drive
It’s time to uncover what truly drives you. If you are seeing many action-orientated people close to you zooming past while you’re still in neutral, then you’ll need to uncover why. Do you have genuine plans and a compelling reason to get yourself to the promised lands?
You must be motivated constantly to see everything to completion. Having a personal drive is fundamental especially in the low times. Will this journey be easy? Absolutely not, but we’re here to tell you that it’ll be worth every moment.
Take the time right now to understand what really drives you forward if you desire to have the unstoppable force that The Knight posesses. It’s in these times of preparation that you can outlay a strong foundation.
Is it family? Is it fulfilment? Do you desire to prove things to yourself that you are worthy of success? By journaling and understand the things that drive us, we can find the spark that gets things moving along with some serious momentum.
Now, avoid the societal-tendency to cut corners. Be the person who has done more work than others before and continues long after others would have quit. Not only is this about the intensity of power, but the longevity of pursuit.
The Knight might appear to be out for a spring, but he’s certainly taking on a marathon. He’ll be going for weeks, if not months, but with a clearly-defined reason, his ambition won’t dimish over time.
Going forward
It’s time to get the engine really started and yourself moving along at a higher speed. Go ahead and pursue those which are both important and you’re most passionate towards.

The journey ahead requires unstoppable stamina, motivation and most importantly – focus.
