The Nine of Cups Reversed: What Does It Mean?

Sharing is caring!

The Nine of Cups reversed is our chance to live an abundant life, but with a dual-meaning that everything is to be in moderation and balance.

You can’t have “too much” as you often are neglecting another area of your life.

The Nine of Cups Reversed

You might feel a sense of worry or confusion at this moment. Things might be going extremely well yet something still feels down. Life isn’t as good as you perceived it to be.

The Nine of Cups Reversed meaning

We get many days to live and many days to have an incredible experience. Everything is available for your desires to come true and to live the best life ever.

In fact, many opportunities will come your way. Sometimes there are that many that you’ll need to deflect them otherwise you can get overwhelmed. Indeed, this is a tarot card about overwhelm.

We want to drink the sweet nectar of life, but avoid the overconsumption which can lead to less than ideal outcomes.

Card meaning

We typically use the Rider-Waite series of tarot decks as we are now for this psychic reading of The Nine of Cups reversed. Yes – you are welcome to use any deck as their meanings are quite similar.

Psychic reading of The Nine of Cups Reversed

This representation is of a jovial man. He clearly is passionate about life. Have you met any characters like him? It doesn’t matter how much or little they have, you just know that they’re enthusiastic!

Not just is is passionate, but he is also wildly successful. He didn’t win those 9 cups in front of him. Nope! That come through hard work and passion. Both are required to attain great mastery and results.

Not everything is easy. He knew that already, but he also knew that such rewards were there on the table. In fact, unlimited rewards, if he only got into true alignment with what he desired.

Things are happening right now. The world is actually moving at an incredible pace! It’s up to you to not just keep up, but to manifest all the great wonders that this world has available to you.

Now when you do – just remember – enjoy this in moderation. Keep things “on reserve” and never overestimate what you have available to enjoy. Essentially – build something to fall back on.

Balance is key

Avoid the excess. Yes, you can enjoy everything that you ever desire, but just stay in control. You may attract feelings of worry internally or greed from others externally. It happens to all of us!

This balance is the key to being happy. You can indeed have it all and we preech a holistic perspective. It’s the only way to thrive in the world today.

Often we hear about wildly successful people with millions in the bank account. If we only see their personal lives and the contrast is stark! Long hours, tainted relationships and a poor work-life balance. Let’s not forget the missed opportunities of happiness, travel and laughter.

By finding balance, you can be the beacon of light for others. Hard work is put on a noble stool these days, yet happiness isn’t. We believe the happiest of people have found the balance of material possessions and freedom in their lives.

Going forward

You’re in total control. Everything you choose to do is your call from here on. We can’t force you to do this, nor can the Nine of Cups reversed propel you into action. One thing it can do though is to quesiton your current state of mind.

Tarot card definition by Yocean Yogi

Are you in excess of something currently? Often that’s free time which can be used towards skill acquisition. You never know which opportunities might come knocking.

There are many possibilities in the world today and indeed you can attract anything that you desire. Sometimes we attract too much and it’s overwhelming, despite the temptations initially.

You can have it all, but step by step. That’s 9 cups. Take it easy and enjoy the ride!
