The Queen of Wands upright tarot card represents our need to have a confident and courageous outlook on life especially if we’re an extrovert. For the introverts, it means to become fiercely independent.
The Queen of Wands Upright
There are times that we really do desire to be in the spotlight and have others see our success. Regardless of how much we hide, there’s that little bit inside each and every one of us that wants to shine publicly.

For you, it could be the need to show how you transformed over the years through the power of tarot cards, spiritual awakening and regularly meditating. Regardless of how little the progress, you do deserve to show others the light.
As children, many of us were social butterflys. We chatted, laughed and play from sunrise until sunset (and indeed, often later than sunset) yet as adults we often hide and scurry away from the limelight. That is – until we find ourselves on social media.
Card meaning
The Queen of Wands Upright is a ‘Yes’ Tarot card and we’ve used the Rider Waite series. We see the queen sitting upon the throne which is decorated with lions. These represent the courage to allow such personal power into our lives.

While she appears quite powerful and maybe even a bit masculine, we also see the sunflowers held in her right hand. This symbolizes the feminine fertility, joy and free spirit that we all long for.
Black cats are popular in the tarot space but rare to actually find one on an actual tarot card. The Queen of Wands Upright has a black cat which means becoming divinely connected to your shadow and allowing the both of you to work in harmony.
Also, she is dressed in yellow. Despite her ownership of a black cat, she certainly isn’t a watch! The yellow dress represents the bright glow of the self confident individual.
Indeed reaching such heights doesn’t come easy. Her life certainly didn’t start out this way as she had to cultivate such emotional, mental and spiritual energy to see herself at new heights long before she had attained it.
Our divine radiance
You might lead a busy lifestyle with a family, career and other responsibilities to hold down, yet there is always time to radiate our divine essence. Perhaps we have been victorious at buying a new car, developing our psychic skills or simply becoming more self confident. Either way – you have the complete right to let it all shine!
While we’re not quite advocating to ‘show off and rub it in’, you can certainly influence others positively through your vision and achievements. By displaying such results, others will feel both the power and confidence in themselves to achieve that which they set out to accomplish.
This all starts in expression. What are you aiming to express to the world? What is your inner calling that has always been there but hasn’t yet had the chance to shine? Do you have a gift that the world really needs? For us at Yocean Yogi, it’s our tarot card readings, our mantras and affirmations as well as our mala jewellery.
This is how we express our divine reason for being here and our infectious enthusiasm. We’re passionate about yoga, meditation and spiritual evolvement and place the bulk of our energy into helping others to ascend further in their evolutionary journey. These deeds simply make us (and indeed our many customers) feel incredible.
And back to you: What is it that you can you have the courage and confidence to accomplish but havne’t yet started? Perhaps the time is now.
Going forward
Success is merely a state of mind. We must be determined relentless if we are to achieve that which we seek, provided we remain true to ourselves. After all, success to us can have a completely different meaning to others.

Perhaps you’ve introverted and that’s OK. Most people in the healing arts space are certainly introverted and Saturday nights certainly aren’t a dinner and dance. Then again – the internet has given us opportunities to express our creative side like never before as we can clearly see with the growth of Etsy.
This is your time to have the courage to take on those projects which you have put off for far too long.
