The Strength Upright Tarot Card: What Does It Mean?

Sharing is caring!

The Strength upright tarot card means the need for us to use strength with compassion and understanding if we are to unlock the door to our infinite potential.

If you are to find positive influence and prosperity, then a holistic approach is one that should be developed intuitively through passion.

The Strength Upright

Often times we try to ‘give it our all’ yet come up short on the quest. We strive for so much but just aren’t quite able to do what we envisioned. The question we must ask ourselves is “Are we really loving what we do?”

The Strength Upright tarot card meaning

Ultimately, we’re the strongest when we’re fully in alignment with our heart, mind, body and soul. If what we seek out to accomplish is worthy of our relentless commitment towards mastery.

We must persuade ourselves to find this alignemnt while being compassionate towards ourselves during times of failure. Inheritly things won’t go as planned, but we can always learn, pick ourselves up and go for another win.

Card meaning

The Strength Upright is a ‘Yes’ Tarot card. In a love meaning it means to persuade ourselves to find the magic in the moments of uncertainty. Our journey begins and ends with strength and compassion for ourselves and those who surround us in this unfolding of conscious creation.

Psychic reading of The Strength Upright
The Strength Upright in the Rider Waite series

We’ve used the Rider Waite series for our psychic readings. We see here teh woman who is stroking a lion so gently. Through her divine and loving energy, she’s been able to calm and caress this wild beast. You can really feel her love because after all, love settls all wars and conflicts.

Is the lion still strong? Yes! She does have compassion? Yes! When you combine the two, you’ve got an unstoppable force for good that the world needs right now. Both are symbolizing how both are a force for good.

She brings her purity and spirit. We can see this through her white robe and wonderful appearance. He brings his honor, power and agility. We see this is in his maturity and willingness to surrender to her femine energy.

He’s still ready to strike at a moment’s notice if necessary. Until then, he’s found a space of safe healing and transofrmation. She has persuaded him to find compassion while he’s shown her how to encompass more strength into her life.

Like the Ying and Yang, you’ve got two worlds working together. This is much like symbolicly harmonic relatinoships between a woman and man which last a lifetime.

Your balance

We must ultimately find balance in our lives. While we might come to this experience with light and love, it’s our physical power that’s also necessary on the quest. This is going to require taking a few hits.

Have you ever been in a conflict? Perhaps you found himself in a heated debate online. This is where your strength might help you progress, but your compassion and understanding for the other person’s perspective will help you both find peace, love and unity in the situation.

As humans, we require balance. You need balance as much as the next person, but the approach needs to be done effectively, hence the term ‘holistic healing’. We must find ourselves in a place of forgiveness.

This can be accomplished through personal growth via self-help or by seeking the professional services of a therapist. Dealing with such emotions on the surface can really be challenging to handle. Before finding our way into love and light, anger, guilt or sadness might flood our mind and impact our existing relationships.

Ultimately, composure in our world is done through compassion for ourselves and all living beings, as well as the strength to carry us through from hurdle to hurdle. In an ideal world we could survive just find without such strength, but unfortunately the world hasn’t yet found complete unity.

It’s still a work in progress. Until we find ourselves as a species in total peace, then we must personally transform through going through challenges ourselves. On the otherside we’ll find ourselves stronger and more compassionate, where then we can be the beacon of light that others need.

Until then, we must work. Start today as yesterday is already one.

Going forward

The world needs you now. It needs the qualities rarely found today in individuals. We naturally look up to those with strength and courage, paired with love and reasoning. The Upright Strength tarot card shows us both working together harmoniously.

Card representation

This is ultimately how we find ourselves; that intersection of both the masculine and feminine. The balance of the love and power which lead to lifting the greater good of the world.

Harmony is created through compassion and strength. The time to begin harnessing such qualities is now.
