The Ten of Wands Reversed: What Does It Mean?

Sharing is caring!

The Ten of Wands reversed shows us that our service to our community doesn’t go unnoticed through the karmic laws of the universe.

If you’re the type who’s constantly on a quest to improve the lives of others, then a brighter future may be just around the corner.

The Ten of Wands Reversed

Karma is a wonderful thing! It reminds us that what goes around comes around. All those years of labouring for the sake of lifting the burdens of those around you hasn’t gone unnoticed.

You’ve done more when others would have quit. You’ve put in your best effort when it wasn’t required of you. You’re the type who’s on the relentless quest to improve the lives of others.

Such work may never reward you! This is called unconditional work. Essentially, it’s work done with no expectation of anything in return. If it does come, however, it will be a torrential downpour of appreciation and abundance.

Card analysis

On this tarot card depiction, we’ve chosen the standard Rider Waite series. There are many other tarot decks that will serve just fine for a Ten of Wands reversed reading. Seek the one which feels most intuitively connected to you.

We see a man here who has been hard at work. Evidently he has been doing this work for many years in the fields of such vast lands.

Such work isn’t easy. Much like life, right? You may have been experiencing the same “groundhog day” for many years. The man clearly supports a family and that also may be the case for you.

The man is burning out, but he isn’t done yet. The service he unconditionally provides to his family provides stability so they can go forth in the world with more abundance and certainty.

Carrying the weight of your family on your shoulders is no small feat. This should be more commended especially for the mothers of our world, but is seldom done!

The man here isn’t jaded. We can’t quite see it, but he wears a proud smile despite his exhaustion. He knows why he’s there today and he’ll be back for more tomorrow, because for him – service matters.

Harvest for others

The entire meaning of this tarot card is the unconditional service that you can bring to the lives of others. Perhaps that’s your family or simply your community, or maybe you have a worldly pursuit that impacts the lives of millions of people.

This harvest gathering for others is a service that may not be commended initially. In fact, it’s unlikely to be. Even if it never happens, you shouldn’t place a condition on this relentless giving.

You are contributing to the greater good of the world. That in itself should have you wearing a proud smile just like this man depicted. He’s more than happy to go for yet another round tomorrow, despite the challenges.

There is no need for breaks or rest when you know the work you’re doing is positively impacting those who you love. Their repricrocity doesn’t have to come in the form of material or financial abundance. In fact, the greatest give you can receive is actually the gift that you give.

Be the example

This really is an example of greatness that the world really needs. We believe the world has become “me centric” with the invention of social media.

People want to show off their “stuff” like a children’s classroom, but so few people want to help each other. We’re not talking about sharing some cute photos or partaking in motivational rants, but genuinely helping people in the real world.

Fortunately, there are people like you. Those that don’t need more “stuff” and have chosen to make it their life’s work to actually help those who need it most.

Going forward

This might at times feel like a burden, but such work doesn’t go unnoticed. Even if you’re never rewarded, you’ve become an example for others to follow.

The service to others is one of the highest forms of personal mastery. In this strange new world that we live in, it’s refreshing to see we have people like you still left.
