The Ten of Wands upright means that you are working very hard and perhaps too hard where the burdens of your labor are catching up today.
It’s perhaps time to unwind and take a rest. You’ve done so much already.
The Ten of Wands Upright
Motivational authors and speakers would have us believe that we’re destined to achieve great mastery if we are to simply work harder. “Go for 100+ hours per week!” they say, as if we can sleep so little.

Indeed, they do have some valid points. You can achieve great things through a solid work ethic, but sometimes things just get too much. We burden ourselves with heavier loads then we can otherwise cart.
Eventually this comes catching up to us. Have you ever heard of the burned out CEO who had all his money but no happiness? We at Yocean Yogi choose a holistic approach to building businesses and progress in our lives.
The 10 of wands upright tarot card is a chance to stop and see if this is truly a task that you’re up for. Such responsibilities will take sacrifice and we must ask ourselves if it’s genuinely worth the struggle.
Card meaning
The 10 of Wands Upright is a ‘No’ Tarot card. We’ve done our psychic love reading with the Rider-Waite tarot series and you are welcome to choose any deck. Their meanings are inheritly quite similar, though may vary from reader to reader.

We see here the man in the field. He’s carrying quite a lot! He has subscribed to the theory that the harder you work, the more rewards you will experience. For years he has been fighting his way to the top, only to still be in the fields.
His eyes are also covered. He can’t see much as he’s so focused on the task at hand. He’s done this before, only he hasn’t yield as much as he anticipated in his younger years.
Perhaps then, life isn’t all about working hard? It’s about working smart. FInding ways to leverage our growth and become duplicatable. We are living in the information age after all where things can be automated.
The man carries 10 wands. This is becoming too much meaning we ourselves struggle with the weight bearing down on us with too many responsibilities and no one to help.
It’s ultimately at times like this that we need to let go. To make a call and say “I’ve had enough”
Delegation time
We can’t achieve success ourselves. It’s always a team effort. If you look at any famous sports person in the olympics and you’ll note that they always had a team surrounding them to take home the gold medal.
Self assessment and delegation is critical if you truly want to make progress. Exhaustion leads to no where. If you continue down this same pathway then you’ll be walking as slow as the character on this tarot card.
This is going to take some preparation though. Don’t expect to have all the answers immediately, but the lighter the load…the faster you’ll go!
Ultimately, by working too hard we stall our creative spark. The hopes and dreams of our youth simply vanish and we’re left with nothing more than emptiness. That isn’t any way to live!
Now – don’t get us wrong. You will need to make sacrifices. This is the pathway to success. Some things you’ll initially need to go without in the early years of your personal quest. Over time though, as you build stronger and stronger, you’ll find your way to towards freedom by seeking the assitance of others.
Your opportunity
This is your time to stop for a quick rest. Look at the situation around you. Are you truly able to keep marching in this direction unaided? If you are – keep going! If not – let’s get you some help.

Life is about fun. We want to enjoy the process over all. Yes, at times it won’t be so easy, but what’s the point of everything if we don’t see the beauty in the journey?
Keep powering on while seeking the assistance of others. No one does this alone.
